Rachel's Challenge, PJ Story Time Highlight This Week in Enfield

A brief look at Enfield happenings for the week beginning Sept. 23.

It officially became fall over the weekend. Happy autumn, Enfield! This means there's plenty of pumpkin picking, apple picking, apple cider drinking and hayride riding to be done in the coming weeks. Fear not, we'll give you all the info you'll need to ensure fun is had this season.

Family fun will peak this week at the Enfield Public Library with PJ Storytime at 6:30 p.m. Parents are invited to bring their pajama-clad little ones for a night of storytellling.


Parents should also know this week's board of education meeting has been cancelled. Scheduled for Tues., Sept. 24, the board has canceled the meeting so members can attend Rachel's Challenge, a series of programs aimed at creating a culture of kindness and compassion. This event is open to all residents and will begin at 6:30 p.m. at J.F.K. Middle School.

There are three town hall meetings this week. The clean energy committee will meet in the Enfield Room on Tues., Sept. 24 at 6:30 p.m. On Wedensday, the historic district commission will meet in council chambers at 7 p.m. The restoration strategy committee will meet on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Enfield Room.
