Volunteers Make Wishes Come True

A Parkway Pavilion resident mentioned his desire to go fishing, and a volunteer made it happen.

While visiting his grandmother at Parkway Pavilion, Cary Atkins had a conversation with resident Lyle Fletcher, and Fletcher mentioned his desire to go fishing and how much he missed the ability to do so.

Atkins stepped up to make a fishing trip happen.

He reached out to Yankee Bait Shop who agreed to help by providing lifetime licenses, bait and tackle for Parkway residents interested in going on the fishing trip.

Parkway Pavilion hired a bus to transport the residents to Freshwater Pond, which was stocked for a fishing derby, and Atkins recruited his family and friends to assist each resident with their fishing poles and bait.
