Results and Photos From NCCC Cross Country Championships

Windsor Locks High School was the setting on a picture-perfect day for running Monday.

Neal Hulstein of Ellington and Rachael Rosow of Avon were the overall winners in the NCCC Cross Country Championships at Windsor Locks High School Monday.

Hulstein toured the 3.1 mile course in 16:30.50, nearly 19 seconds ahead of runnerup Jimmy Clark of Suffield. Rosow's time of 19:21.28 was almost 16 seconds ahead of second-place finisher Samantha Nyser of Bolton.

Ellington won the boys' varsity race with 53 points, edging Avon by nine points. Avon's 31 points easily outdistanced second-place Suffield (64) in the girls' varsity division.
