Enfield Selects Gilbane as Construction Manager for Consolidation of High Schools

Construction is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2014.

The Town of Enfield recently selected Gilbane Building Company to provide Construction Management at Risk services for the consolidation of Enfield High School and Enrico Fermi High School.

The $103 million project consists of a 147,700 square-foot addition to Enfield High School, along with a 165,000 square-foot renovation to the building, according to a news release

The project is expected to be completed in phases with students remaining on school grounds during construction. Following its completion in the summer of 2016, students from Fermi will transfer to the new Enfield Consolidated High School, the company announced.
