Enfield schools will be closed Wednesday due to hazardous driving conditions brought on by an overnight snowfall.
The closing applies to all Enfield public and parochial schools, the CREC Public Safety Academy, Head Start, and ERfC and YWCA care programs. All after-school activities are canceled, as is Park & Recreation and Enfield Adult Education. There will be no out-of-town bus runs.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for up to three inches of snow for Enfield. By 5:30 a.m., roadways were already slippery due to accumulation.
