Enfield Schools Announce Heritage Celebration

The district will hold a day full of celebrating the community's cultural diversity.

From children to senior citizens, everyone in town will have an opportunity to have fun on Feb. 8, when Enfield Public Schools holds its Enfield Heritage Celebration.

Designed to "spend a day exploring and celebrating cultural diversity within our community," the celebration will include food samples, displays, performances, games and hands-on activities.

According to Enfield Schools, those who attend the JFK Middle School event can watch a dancing Chinese dragon, take a tour of a Native American Wigwam, take a salsa lesson, try origami and more.

The event is free, but there is a charge for food.

The district will provide a bus from Alcorn to JFK, which is free and will run every hour beginning at 10:30 a.m.

The event will run from 11:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Sat., Jan. 8.
