Asnuntuck Announces Free Healthcare Career Programs

Asnuntuck says it boasts a job-placement and externship rate above 80 percent for its healthcare career training programs.

Asnuntuck Community College was accepted as a participant in a federally-funded initiative aimed at providing scholarships for training in jobs “with high growth prospects,” the school recently announced.

The initiative, called the SNAP E&T (Employment and Training) program, provides scholarships for SNAP recipients.

According to Asnuntuck, eligible applicants are now able to enroll in programs for a number of healthcare career certificate programs for free, including programs to become an EMT, a phlebotomy and EKG technician, a medical assistant, a massage therapist, a dental assistant, a veterinary assistant, a pharmacy technician, an ophthalmic assistant, a safety dispatcher and a sterilization technician.
