A Surprise Visit From Their Pen Pal!!

Saint Martha School's 6th Grade class received a big surprise on Wednesday, October 2nd when US Army Specialist Jaren Silliman visited the school.  Jared, the nephew of 5th Grade Teacher, Miss Davis, as well as cousin to Sam and Maxx Contois (Grade 3 and 5 students), received letters from Saint Martha students while he was in basic training.  All were surprised and happy to meet Jared.  He thanked them for their letters and kind wishes.  Everyone had the opportunity to shake Jared's hand and personally thank him for his service.  Jared was glad to meet his pen pals and looks forward to receiving more letters.

Jared is off to Fort Campbell where he will spend the next few months perfecting his radio and communications skills.  From there he will be sent off to see the world!!  God Bless Jared and the rest of the servicemen and women who so bravely give of themselves to keep us safe!
