Rep. Kiner Named to Appropriations Committee

Enfield representative also serves on Special Education Council and Small Business Health Care Working Group.

State Rep. David W. Kiner (D-Enfield) has been chosen by House Speaker Christopher G. Donovan (D-Meriden) to serve on the Appropriations Committee.

In his capacity on the Appropriations Committee, Kiner will serve on its transportation, higher education and judicial and corrections subcommittees.

“I am honored that Speaker Donovan asked me to serve on such an important committee and I especially look forward to working on its subcommittees,” Kiner said in a news release.

Kiner was also named recently to the Special Education Advisory Council and the Speaker’s Working Group on Small Business Health Care.

In addition, he is a member of the Education and Labor committees and the Speaker’s Task Force On Domestic Violence.
