Enfield Nonprofit Awarded Almost $300,000 in State Grants

Enfield nonprofit among 84 organizations splitting $20 million in grant funding.

Allied Rehabilitation Centers in Enfield was awarded a total of $280,500 in funding for several projects under the state 2014 Nonprofit Grant Program.

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy announced Thursday that 146 projects with 84 organizations have been selected to receive a total of $20 million in awards.

Allied Rehabilitation Centers, Inc is set to receive $121,600 for generators and $158,900 for HVAC upgrades.

“Partnering with these organizations is a smart fiscal investment to ensure that these agencies can continue to provide services while doing so in an efficient, cost-effective way,” Malloy said during his announcement at Chrysalis Center, a provider agency slated to received funding to provide job training, employment services and conference space.

“This is the largest commitment our state has made to support and invest in these community-based organizations that provide critical services to individuals in every city and town in our state.”
