Election Day 2012: Suffield [Updated: 2:45 p.m.]

Where to vote, the list of candidates, and how the town voted in past elections. Check back mid-day for updates from the polling stations.

Update, 2:45 p.m.

A constant stream of voters headed to Suffield Middle School this morning. An election worker reported 2,163 voters had already checked in as of 10 a.m.

"It's been terrific, a nice steady turnout," 61st House District incumbent Elaine O'Brien said. "I think people are happy when people don't run negative campaigns. Our campaign has been all positive, talking about what we're going to do."

"I've been at all three polls this morning, and it's been very optimistic," 61st District challenger Tami Zawistowski said. "A lot of traffic, and I've been getting a lot of thumbs-up as people go by."

I applaud the Suffield poll workers and organizers, they have a great system setup to get people in and out efficiently - even in the parking lots. Great job!
