State, Local Police Seeking Enfield Woman Who Escaped From Custody

Debbie Barstis has considerable ties in the Enfield area.

Enfield police are assisting the Connecticut State Police in searching for a local woman who escaped from custody.

Debbie L. Barstis is described as 38 years old, between 5'2" and 5'4" tall, about 120 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes, Enfield Sgt. Doug Montas said.

A 2012 arrest report from Manchester, in which Barstis was charged with third-degree larceny, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear in court, listed her address as 102 Windsor Street in Enfield.

She has considerable family and friends in Enfield, and authorities have reason to believe she is in the north central Connecticut area, Montas said.

No details were immediately available concerning her escape from custody.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Enfield police at 860-763-6400, the Anonymous Tip Line at 860-763-8930, or Connecticut State Police Troop H at 860-534-1000.
