A man claiming to be a doctor walked up to children playing on a Connecticut playground and told them he wanted to check them for a new variety of tick.
The incident took place at Quaker Hill Elementary School in Waterford on Monday, June 30, according to Waterford Police. The man reportedly inquired about area schools and what grade the children were in, before leaving the playground.
The man came back to the playground and that’s when he told the children about the ticks. The Waterford Police Department posted the following description on its Facebook page:
“The male is said to be a white male, approximately 6’0 tall, 200 lbs., with dark brown hair [and] wearing a dark blue sport jacket with brown pants and black shoes. The vehicle was possibly a newer model white Audi 4dr with Connecticut Registration.”
