Gas Station Robbery Leaves Clerk Wounded

Enfield Police seek the public's help in catching the hooded robber.

An Enfield gas station clerk was beaten and cut by a hooded robber Monday night, according to a Hartford Courant report.

According to Courant.com, the clerk confronted the man in his South Road business after hearing "items being knocked over" at around 9:30 p.m.

The man, the Courant report states, cut the clerk with a sharp weapon and beat him.

The robber is not in police custody, and he's "described as tall, thin... wearing a dark, long-sleeved jacket and a hood covering his head an face.
