Fire Academy Graduation Exercises

The Connecticut Fire Academy celebrated their Graduation Exercises at the East Hartford Community Cultural Center on Thursday, May 22.  

The graduates of Recruit Class #53 represent fire departments in Bethany, Branford, Bristol, East Hartford, Enfield, Greenwich, Manchester, New Canaan, North Thompsonville, North Haven, Norwalk, the Southbury Training School, Southington, and Stratford. 

These recruits began training in February of 2014, and have learned to mitigate hazardous materials, rescue victims in confined and technical spaces, and the use of CPR defibrillators.
