Enfield Road Closed Temporarily After Vehicle Strikes Pole and Overturns

A vehicle struck a telephone pole and rolled over on Middle Road Wednesday morning.

The eastbound vehicle struck the pole and overturned around 7:15 a.m. Wednesday. The unidentified driver, who was the lone occupant, exited the vehicle on his own and was treated at the scene by Enfield EMS, said Mark Zarcaro, public information officer for the .

Middle Road was shut down as members of the Hazardville Fire Department cleared the scene. Buses headed for were detoured through neighboring streets, causing some brief delays, Zarcaro said.
