A significant portion of Elm Street in Enfield is closed as police have surrounded a home containing a person believed to be armed with an unknown weapon.
An official with the Enfield Fire Department said police encircled the house at 368 Elm Street after receiving reports of a possibly armed person inside.
Elm Street has been shut down from Hazard Ave. to Moody Rd. However, the fire official no evacuation was needed.
