Enfield Police Seeking Armed Bandit

An unknown man stole prescription drugs from the Rite Aid Pharmacy Saturday morning.

Enfield police are seeking the identity of a man who brandished a firearm at the Rite Aid Pharmacy late Saturday morning, running off with an undetermined amount of prescription drugs.

Around 11:29 a.m., a medium-skinned black male entered the Palomba Drive store, displayed a firearm to employees and demanded prescription drugs. The man fled the store and was last seen running east on Hazard Avenue, police said.

The male is described as 5’8” to 5’10” tall, 160 to 170 lbs., with a few days' growth of facial hair and long dreadlock-type hair with a green/black/orange hat or do rag. He spoke with what is believed to be a Jamaican accent, and was wearing a black short-sleeved shirt, black basketball-type shorts with white trim, black sneakers with white laces, and white socks, police said.
