Enfield Police, K-9 Unit Assist in Search for Suspect in South Windsor Attempted Robbery

Suspect, a white male dressed in a dark hooded jacket and with sunglasses, implied that he had a gun, according to police dispatch.

Enfield police and a K-9 unit are assisting South Windsor police in the search for a suspect in an alleged attempted robbery at the Getty Mart on Sullivan Avenue in South Windsor Saturday afternoon.

The suspect, a white male wearing a dark hooded jacket, ski mask and sunglasses, implied to the clerk at the gas station located at 561 Sullivan Ave. that he was armed, according to South Windsor Chief of Police Matthew Reed.

The suspect, who did not take any money and may have been interrupted by a customer walking into the store, was last seen on foot in the field across from the gas station, according to Reed.

The call came in at 3:46 p.m., Reed said.
