Enfield Police Investigating Car Burglaries at Route 5 Plaza

About seven cars were broken into at the Enfield Plaza Wednesday morning.

More than a half-dozen car burglaries were reported to Enfield police early Wednesday morning at the Enfield Plaza on Route 5.

About seven cars had smashed windows, and purses were stolen from each vehicle, Sgt. Matt Meier said.

The plaza houses Club Fitness, the only business open when reports started coming in around 5:45 a.m., Meier said.

The burglaries are under investigation, and anyone with information about the break-ins is asked to call the police department at 860-763-6400.
