Enfield Man Charged After a Tirade at Denny's

It was a Diner Gone Wild at a Vernon restaurant, police said.

An Enfield man went berserk while making an early morning food stop at a Vernon restaurant on Sunday, according to an arrest report.

Vernon police said that Ryan Anderson, 25, of 3 Broad Brook Road, Enfield, is due in court May 15 to answer a second-degree breach of peace charge and a third-degree criminal mischief charge.

Vernon police received a call regarding a disorderly incident at the Denny's restaurant at 35 Talcottville Road at 1:20 a.m. Saturday, an arrest report indicates.

The caller said that Anderson ripped a menu in half and was yelling, throwing items around the restaurant inside and was knocking over planters and a bench outside the eatery, according to the arrest report.

He was located by police at the Vernon Diner, about a mile away on Route 30, where he was taken into custody, the arrest report indicates.

Anderson was released on a $1,000 bond and is due to appear in Rockville Superior Court on May 15, police said.
