Enfield Man Arrested in Connection With May Home Invasion

Suspect is being held on $1 million bond.

Enfield police have arrested a suspect believed to have been the perpetrator of a home invasion in May that resulted in an assault on a 93-year-old woman.

Police charged Toby A. Berthiaume, 37, of 116 Windsor Street with home invasion, first-degree burglary, third-degree assault on an elderly victim and fourth-degree larceny in connection with the May 6 crime.

The incident took place around 2:30 p.m. that day, when the elderly woman was attacked in her home and jewelry was stolen, police said.

Berthiaume is being held on a $1 million court-set bond, and is scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Enfield Superior Court
