Enfield Emergency Personnel Respond to Two Fatal Accidents Sunday, Three Die

Several departments responded to a fatal motor vehicle accident Sunday evening in the area of Broadleaf Lane in which two women were killed and a single-motorcycle accident earlier that morning elsewhere in town.

Update, Sept. 3, 9:25 a.m.:

Emergency personnel also responded to a single motorcycle accident early Sunday morning in which an unidentified man was killed, according to police. Details will be posted about the accident as they become available.

Route 5 was closed for a while Sunday night as emergency crews tended to the patients involved in a two-car, head-on collision at around 6:20 p.m., according to police reports.

Two women were killed in the accident, which occurred on Enfield Street (Route 5) near Broadleaf Lane, according to Enfield Police and a report in the Hartford Courant. The women have not been identified, according to police.

Enfield Police are asking that anyone who may have witnessed the accident to call the department at (860) 763-6400.
