LETTER: Enfield Fire Department Appreciates September 11th Memorial Event Support

A thank you letter from Deputy Chief Paul Januszewski.

On behalf of the Enfield Fire District, we thank the community and the participants for their support of the parade and ceremony held this past September 11th at the Weymouth Road fire station in memory of the tragic events of September 11th 2001. The response from the community, the support of donors to both the 9/11 Memorial Tribute Garden and the ceremony and the participation by so many is a heartwarming testament of the reverence felt toward the memory of those who perished in the attacks and those who serve to protect our country and our communities.

The Enfield Fire District extends a sincere thank you to the staff, students and families of Riley’s School of Dance, who on each anniversary of 9/11 since 2001 have marched to a vigil at the firehouse. Their thoughtfulness and generosity each year inspired us to construct the 9/11 Memorial Tribute Garden and their continued support reflects the heartfelt emotions with which we all remember that fateful day.

We at the Enfield Fire District also thank the following businesses and groups for their tremendous support of this year’s 9/11 Memorial Ceremony, making the event a tremendous success and ensuring all in attendance felt welcome and had an opportunity to have refreshments and meet with fire, police, EMS and military personnel. We thank: Diana’s Bakery of Enfield, Stop & Shop Supermarket of Enfield, Northern Connecticut Stone & Landscape, Smyth Bus Co., Connecticut Mulch, Four Corners Package Store, Eddie’s Ice Cream, the Enfield Junior Women’s Club and the Thompsonville Loyal Order of Moose Lodge.
