Enfield Patch Celebrates First Anniversary

The site launched on Jan. 25, 2011.

My, how time flies.

Working on a couple of stories in my office this morning, I glanced at my calendar and saw today's date: Jan. 25. I paused for a moment and thought, that date sounds familiar - then it hit me.

Today is the one-year anniversary of the launch of Enfield Patch. Seems like only yesterday that the two-month preparation period finally ended and we unveiled northern Connecticut's newest Patch site.

To say Enfield Patch has grown in leaps and bounds would be an understatement. On launch day, 237 different visitors checked out the brand new site; last week, we averaged 1,272 unique visitors a day.

The success and growth of Enfield Patch is due to all of you, our loyal readers. Your input has been invaluable to the selection of content we provide - from schools to sports to the ever-popular police blotters.

A lot of memorable events have happened in Enfield over the past 12 months. Power outages, resignations and retirements, elementary school reconfiguration, emotional ceremonies commemorating 9/11 and Wreaths Across America - the list goes on. Enfield Patch has proudly delivered all of these things to you, and will continue to do so in the coming months and years.

We have made the site easy for you to get involved. You can post events and announcements, write a blog about topics of interest to you, add your own photos or comments to a story, claim your own business directory listing - it's up to you to keep growing and diversifying the site.

Please continue turning to Enfield Patch to get all the information you need about your town. From news items to sports coverage to business listings, we are your one-stop destination for everything Enfield. Please feel free to email me at , and I humbly thank you for your continued support.
