Courageous Response to Tragedy

Another death of a young person as a result of addiction is such a tragedy.  Cory Monteith of the television show "Glee" apparently had many fans and admirers, along with family and friends who loved him.  I hope his family will forfeit their zone of privacy and the producers and writers of the show will use his real life story in a segment of the show to reach out to our young kids to emphasize the dangers of mind altering  drugs and the likely hood of addiction.  This could be a way to reach so many and would be more meaningful when they can place a name and a face to the disease.  I am sure they will feel the true meaning of pride if they can help just one person from falling into this cycle.  This is many times more valuable to their lives than keeping this a dark secret for fear of stigma.  I have a hunch that this would be a tribute to young Cory as he would certainly want others to learn from his accident of judgment when he first began experimenting with drugs at such a young, curious and vulnerable age.
