Obituary: Therese “Terry” R. Keene, 85, of Enfield

Therese “Terry” R. Keene, 85, of Enfield, beloved wife of Norman C. Keene for almost 25 years, died on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Emeritus Senior Living at Rocky Hill.

She was born in Waterbury on December 5, 1928, the daughter of the late Ulrich and Mary (Bosaneault) Proulx. Before retiring, Keene was employed with Travelers Insurance and in her free time she found great joy in baking, knitting and crocheting afghans and expanding her doll collection.

She especially loved traveling with her husband, Norman. Keene was a wonderful mother and wife, and cared deeply about her family and in return, she was deeply loved and will be truly missed by all who were fortunate to have her in their lives.

In addition to her husband, Norman, she is survived by her son, Wayne S. Radkovitch of Union; her four step-children, Linda M. Keene of Enfield; Timothy M. Keene and his wife, Kathleen, of Enfield; David M. Keene of Enfield and Kenneth M. Keene and his wife, Wendy, of Harrisburg, N.C.; her 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Besides her parents, Keene was preceded in death by her first husband, Leon P. Radkovitch; and her daughter, Lynn.

Relatives and friends are invited for a funeral service to be celebrated for Therese on Friday, March 28, at 11:30 a.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd.

A procession to Rose Hill Memorial Park in Rocky Hill will immediately follow the service for her entombment. Keene's family requested there be no calling hours.
