Francis “Frank” E. Costello, Jr. 60, of Enfield, entered into eternal life on Wednesday (April 3, 2013) at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield MA. Frank was the loving husband of Janice (Fisher) Costello and son of Alice (Gallnot) Costello of Bloomfield and the late Francis E. Costello Sr.
He was a graduate of Bloomfield High School and lived in Enfield for the last 22 years. Frank was employed by the Hartford Courant, USA Today and most recently for the Journal Inquirer as the Circulation Manager. He was an avid sports fan of horseracing, the Boston Red Sox and UCONN. Francis enjoyed traveling to Aruba and Cancun, and loved the ocean. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.
Besides his wife Janice and his mother Alice, he is survived by his daughter Heather Costello Dobbert and husband Jon and son Nathan Costello both of Enfield, along with his five grandchildren; Allison Dobbert, Maya Costello, Eryn Dobbert, Lily Costello, and Noah Costello. Frank is also survived by his brothers; Keith Costello and his wife Sharon, Glenn Costello and his wife Debbie and Tom Costello. In addition to his father, he was also predeceased by his brother, Dan Costello.
A memorial service in celebration of Frank’s life will be held at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd., Enfield, on Saturday (April 6, 2013) at noon with the Rev. John Morgans officiating. Interment will follow in Hazardville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may gather with his family at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to noon.
