Obituary: Anne Louise Glazier, of Enfield

Anne Louise Glazier, of Enfield, died Wednesday, May 28, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mass., after a long battle with cancer.

Born in 1927, she was the only child of Louis and Lillian McCormack Glazier. For more than 50 years, she was a resident of Watertown, Mass., and was a graduate of Watertown High School. She graduated from Connecticut College for Women, now Connecticut College, with a degree in Economics. Her entire professional career was with First National Stores, primarily in the Treasurer’s office in Somerville, Mass. and Windsor Locks, Conn.

Anne was a communicant of Holy Family Catholic Church of Enfield, treasurer of its St. Vincent De Paul Society, and a former member of the singing Gold Tones. She was an avid reader, lover of crossword puzzles, accomplished knitter, and enjoyed traveling.

Anne is survived by cousins and many friends. Those who loved Anne are most grateful for the compassionate care given her by the physicians and nurses of Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mass.

Her 10 a.m. funeral mass will be held Monday, June 2, at Holy Family Church in Enfield. Burial will be at a later date in Cambridge, Mass. It is kindly requested that no flowers be sent.
