Bertha Brenick, Postal Service Worker, Dies at 95

Ms. Brenick lived in Enfield for most of her life.

Bertha J. (Iwaniec) Brenick, 95, of Enfield, beloved wife of the late George Brenick, died March 19, 2014, at Suffield by the River.

Born in Oswego, NY, she lived and attended school in Wilbraham and Springfield, Mass.

Brenick lived most of her life in Enfield. She retired from the Postal Service in 1980 after 21 years.

She leaves a nephew, Thomas Wlazlo of Enfield; a niece, Dorothy Soroka of Chesapeake, Va.; and a niece, Barbara Morell of Tallahassee, Fla.; as well as nieces, Margaret Golas of Enfield and Helen Crossley of Waterford; a nephew, John Labis of Enfield; and ten grandnieces and nephews and many great grandnieces and nephews. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Saturday, April 5, at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard Church, 426 Hazard Ave., Enfield. Burial will be held privately at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Springfield, Mass.
