Pearl Street Library Centennial Celebration – 2 Moms on a Mission Fundraiser

Date of Program:  Tuesday, April 22, 2014 beginning at 7:00 PM at the Elks Lodge (138 N. Maple Street, Enfield)

2014 marks The Pearl Street Branch Library’s 100th Anniversary!  Help support this exciting event by participating in a Quarter Auction fundraiser presented by 2 Moms on a Mission.

What is a Quarter Auction?  A Quarter Auction is a group of vendors (Tupperware, 31 Gifts, Pampered Chef, food vendors, crafters, etc.) gathering their products together and raffling them off for quarters.  It is a fun filled night of networking with other vendors and their customers, friends and family.  This is based on a game of chance and NOT the highest bidder.  Vendors will also be changed monthly or per event so there is always something new to check out!  In addition, Quarter Auctions organized by 2 Moms will always benefit a chosen charity-in this case, the Pearl Street Centennial Celebration!!!

If you’ve never been to a Quarter Auction, here are a few tips:

-Show up at the Elks Lodge (138 N. Maple St., Enfield) on Tuesday, April 22nd, with a friend…or two, or three or four..!

-Bring a bunch of quarters (about $10 worth)!  This is how you will bid.

-Bring $5 for admission and 2 paddles.  Additional paddles may be purchased at $1/paddle.

-Get ready to have fun!!!

Cash bar, snacks and pizza will be available for purchase.  Please do not bring in your own alcohol.  The prices are just as they would be as part of a private club, so the alcohol prices will not take away from bidding money.  *Please note: as much as 2 Moms loves children, no children under thirteen please*

Don’t forget to check out the many numerous events the Centennial Committee have planned for the exciting year ahead, among them: “Book Discussions through the Decades” monthly book chat, a birthday party, a marble tournament, “meet Andrew Carnegie”-with Richard Clark, an outdoor movie, special displays, and much more!  Be on the lookout for event listings via email, press, library signage, and our library web page.

For more information on the Centennial Celebration, please visit the Circulation Desk at the Enfield Public Library or Pearl Street Branch Library, or call 860-253-6433 (Pearl Street Branch Library) or 860-763-7512 (Enfield Public Library).  You may also email the Anniversary Committee at: PearlStreetLibrary100@gmail.com, or visit the library webpage: www.enfieldpubliclibrary.org.
