Pearl Street Library Centennial Celebration – "100 Year Celebration Reception!"

Date of Program:  Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM

2014 marks The Pearl Street Branch Library’s 100th Anniversary!  In commemoration of this exciting event, the Pearl Street Library Centennial Anniversary Committee presents the “100 Year Celebration Reception!”

Visit the Pearl Street Library (159 Pearl Street, Enfield) on Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 1:00-4:00 PM to reconnect with old friends (or make new ones), and share library memories at the “100 Year Celebration Reception!”  Step back in time by viewing a 1914 Studebaker or the newly instituted Yale photographic collection, while sampling lemonade and tasty treats, made from turn of the century recipes.  Take a moment to fill out a memory card for the Time Capsule, or to visit with town of Enfield mayor, Scott Kaupin.  Participate in numerous fun-filled events-from children’s games and activities to live entertainment.  And don’t forget to take a tour of the recently refurbished Pearl Street Library!  Remarks will begin at 1:30 with keynote speaker, State Librarian, Ken Wiggin, speaking on Carnegie Libraries.  All are welcome at the Pearl Street Branch Library’s “100 Year Celebration Reception!”
