2014 marks The Pearl Street Branch Library’s 100th Anniversary!  Please join us in our year long Pearl Street Branch Centennial Celebration.

The multi-talented Kandie Carle presents, “The Edwardian Lady,” at the Enfield Senior Center (299 Elm Street, Enfield, CT), on Thursday, March 27th at 6:30 PM.  Ms. Carle takes her audience on a journey of discovery by using clothing and accessories as a tool, however this is not your average fashion show!  As she dresses in layer upon layer of the clothing of the chosen period, and as the pieces of clothing are added, Ms. Carle explains how the item was worn, as well as when and where it was appropriate.  Throughout the presentation, with both humor and grace, Ms. Carle shares insights into the fashion, lifestyle, manners and etiquette of men, women and children during the Edwardian time period.  Full of audience interaction, “The Edwardian Lady,” is sure to fascinate patrons of all ages.
