Connections: a Storytime for Children with Autism

Connections: a Storytime for Children with Autism  ages 3-6 will be held the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month beginning February 14th and ending May 23rd.Children and families will make “Connections” with each other as well as with books and the library. The program will address the needs of children with sensory processing issues by creating a predictable, hands-on storytime designed to engage all of the senses.  Musical instruments, a sand and water table, and sensory stepping stones will be integrated into the stories, songs, and crafts that make up a typical storytime.
