Help a Local Man with His Fight Against Cancer

Michael Pastula is a 31-year-old man from Ellington who is battling cancer and is raising money for the fight via the GoFundMe Web site.

According to his page on GoFundMe, Pastula says that doctors believe the level of stress he was under could have been the cause of his cancer.

On the page, he writes, "I just want to have a wife, kids, a house, the same thing everyone wants but, when you hear you have cancer, it makes you feel like you don't deserve to be in love because if I die, who is going to be there for my wife and kids. It's not fair to them that I've been sick in the past and that it could come back and they may have to watch pain like I did as a child. All I know is that if I'm given a second chance, I will be the best father, husband and especially person to any and everyone that I meet because they deserve love too."
