Enfield Rotarians Help Local Soup Kitchen

The donation was made possible by the Enfield Rotary Club's largest crowd ever at its Annual Wine Tasting.

The Enfield Rotary Club recently presented local soup kitchen Loaves and Fishes with a donation of $2,500 — money generated from the club's annual wine tasting event.

Held on Sept. 19, the event saw its largest crowd ever in attendance.

Proceeds from the large fundraiser went towards Loaves and Fishes' efforts "to help them purchase a much-needed hood vent for their stove," according to the Rotary club.

Loaves and Fishes, which is located in St. Andrew's Church Hall on Prospect Street, serves tens of thousands of meals to locals in need on an annual basis, free of charge.

Dinners are served each day of the week.
