Quarter Auction to Benefit Summer Camp Scholarship Fund

A Quarter Auction will be held on Friday, March 7th to benefit the ERfC Summer Escape Scholarship Fund at the Elks Club, 138 Maple Rd in Enfield. Doors open at 6:00 pm and the auction will begin at 7:00 pm.

Proceeds from the event will provide scholarships for Enfield children to attend the Summer Escape day camp. Summer Escape provides an enrichment day camp for over 150 children. Many Enfield families cannot afford camp fees for their children. The funds raised from the Quarter Auction will give children an opportunity to attend one week of camp. Summer Escape will operate this year from June 30th through August 8th at JFK Middle School for children in grades 1-8.

The Quarter Auction will have many vendors, including Tupperware, Mary Kay, 31 Gifts, Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, and other crafters who will provide products that will be auctioned for quarters, along with a variety of gift baskets. A tea cup raffle is also included.

In addition, the first 25 people who register at the door will receive a bag of coupons, samples, and gifts from the vendors.

Admission is $5 and includes 2 auction paddles. Additional paddles can be purchased for $1 each. Guests should bring about $10 worth of quarters for bidding. Raffle tickets are also available at an additional cost to participate in the tea cup raffle.

A cash bar, snacks and pizza will also be available for purchase. Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks. Please do not bring in your own alcohol. The prices are just as they would be as part of a private club, so the alcohol prices will not take away from bidding money.

This is an event for young adults and adults and no children under the age of 13 years old may attend this event.
