Network Against Domestic Abuse to Host 2nd Annual “Purple Event, An Evening of Chocolate”

Since 1985, The
Network
Against Domestic Abuse of North Central Connecticut has diligently worked to
reduce the incidence of domestic violence and provide much needed assistance to
adult victims and their children.  To
support the many services that are provided free of charge, the agency will
host a special “Purple Event, An Evening of Chocolate” on Friday evening, October 18, 2013 at the Holiday Inn in Enfield.

Guests will enjoy a variety of wine and beer tastings provided by Joe’s Fine Wine & Spirits of East
Windsor, a signature chocolate martini tasting, a wide array of hors d’oeuvres,
carving and pasta stations and chocolate desserts.  Entertainment will be provided by Pair Extraordinaire, a light jazz duet.
Kara
Wolters, American collegiate and professional basketball star, will serve
as the evening's emcee and auctioneer.  In addition, a silent and called auction will
be held. One lucky person will be going home with a ½ carat diamond donated by Morande Jewelers.

Committee members
are hard at work planning a fun-filled event.
Among those serving on the committee are Chairperson Karen Tiroletto, Kathy Barron, Debbie Fiore, Debra Gish,  Mike Helechu,
Carissa Pape, Donna Jones-Searle, Jennifer Smith, Jamie Tower, Mary Tiroletto and Diane Wahl.

For those
wishing to support this event, sponsorship opportunities are available at a
variety of
levels. Tickets
cost $50.00, include a tax-deductible donation and can be purchased by calling
Chris Casey, Event Coordinator at 860.698.6267.

Services provided by The Network Against Domestic Abuse are free and

include outreach, crisis intervention, support and counseling services, as well
as a 15-bed emergency shelter for women and children. The Network operates a
confidential 24-hour crisis hotline, seven days a week.  For more information about the Network’s
