Free Fishing Derby for Kids and Adults at Connecticut Water's Lake Shenipsit Reservoir

Connecticut Water Company is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a free Fishing Derby for children and adults on Saturday, September 14th from 8:00 am to 12:00pm at CWC’s Shenipsit Lake Reservoir located on Ellington Road in Tolland. Prizes will be awarded to the top anglers and refreshments will be available following the derby.

Fishing will only be allowed from designated areas along the shoreline. Lake Shenipsit is a public water supply and no wading into the lake is allowed.

Prizes will be awarded for two categories- 16 and under and over 16. All persons fishing who are 16 years or older must possess a valid Connecticut fishing license, and those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult with a valid Connecticut fishing license. Participants will need to provide their own equipment and bait. The fishing derby is open to the public.
