Pancake Breakfast to Benefit Summer Lunch Bunch

Enfield and surrounding communities are invited to attend a pancake breakfast fundraiser on Sunday, May 18th to benefit Summer Lunch Bunch, a program that provides free meals for kids during the summer weeks.  The breakfast fundraiser will be sponsored by “The Lady Js,” General Federation Woman’s Club of Enfield Juniorettes.

Summer Lunch Bunch Volunteer Project Coordinator, Roger LeBlanc said pancakes will be served from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Patrick's Parish Hall, 64 Pearl Street.  “It’s a great morning out for families,” he said. The cost for the breakfast is $5 per adult, $3 per child and $15 per family. A family will be considered 1 to 2 adults and 3 or more children, he added.

Summer Lunch Bunch, a USDA sponsored free lunch outreach program for children ages 18 and under, and their parents, is scheduled to begin on June 23rd and operate Monday through Friday until August 22rd. LeBlanc said activities for kids begin at 11:00 AM and lunch is served from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
