Join Scouting Night - September 12, 2013

The nights are getting cooler, the days are getting shorter and back-to-school sales are all over the TV and radio so that can only mean one thing...  Scouting is starting back up soon!!  Boys in grades 1-5 can join Cub Scouts.  Hazardville Memorial School is the Chartered Organization for Pack 108.  Thursday, September 12 is Join Scouting Night and signups for Pack 108 are tentatively scheduled to take place at Hazardville Memorial School so mark your calendars.

For those of you whose son is interested in Cub Scouts and sports and you're not sure which one to sign him up for, make the easy decision and sign him up for both!  Studies show that 34% of Scouts go on to earn a college degree versus only 19% on non-Scouts and they earn an average of $80,000 a year in household income versus $61,000 for non-Scouts.

Cub Scouts is a relatively small investment of time - 2 hours/month for Den Meetings, 1 hour for the monthly Pack Meeting and any extra activities such as "Scouting For Food" which is when the Cubs collect food for the Enfield Food Shelf or singing Christmas carols at Little Sisters of the Poor.
