Get Out! The Fab Four, 5K and Fireworks

All of these events can be found in Enfield this weekend, July 8-10.

Just in case you didn’t get enough celebrating in during last weekend, Enfield is hosting the annual celebration. We’ve compiled some of the activities that will be going on this weekend that you might enjoy with your friends and family.

1. The Fab Four

Where/When: The Enfield Town Green (Enfield Street), July 8 at 9:30 p.m.

About: Come enjoy record-perfect live performances of such classics as “Yesterday,” “Penny Lane” and “Hey Jude,” performed live by one of the greatest Beatles tribute band.

2. 1K and 5K Twilight Road Race

Where/When: Higgins School Building, North Main Street, July 9 at 5 p.m.

About: Join in on a fully certified 5K road race for runners and walkers through historic Thompsonville. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in all categories. A 1K race will be hosted for younger athletes.

Cost: Registration on race day, $18

3. Fireworks Spectacular

Where/When: Enfield Town Green, July 10 at 9:45 p.m.

About: Following the live entertainment, the Fireworks Spectacular will have you “oohing” and “ahhing” as you watch the night sky light up to an original Independence Day soundtrack choreographed by “America’s First Family of Fireworks,” Zambelli Fireworks Internationale.

Cost: Free

4. Discover the Magic of Books

Where/When: Enfield Public Library, July 8 at 9:30 a.m.

About: Each journey in this six-week series will explore a different topic. Children will do an activity and get help determining their own reading interests and locating great books. This event is for children in grades 3-5.

Cost: Free

5. The Marshall Tucker Band

Where/When: Enfield Town Green, July 9 at 7:30 p.m.

About: Come see original members of The Marshall Tucker Band as they continue their tour of the country and their powerful force in the world of music.

Cost: Free
