Great Music Coming to the Senior Center

All the latest news from the Enfield Senior Center.

Feel like you are in the Florida Keys for an evening. Enfield’s own, Rick Sylvester will perform a Jimmy Buffett Tribute on Thursday, August 2, at 6 p.m. “Margaritaville” and “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere” along with many other Jimmy Buffett hits will be performed, and Key Lime pie will be served at intermission. Tickets are on sale for $7 per person.

Twice a year, the Enfield Senior Center Goldtones put on a spectacular choral show. The Goldtones’ Summer Concert is on Sunday, August 5, at 2 p.m. and tickets are on sale for $5 per person.  Dessert will be served after the show.

After a hip or knee replacement, you may be cautious about returning to exercise. If you have had cardiac surgery or have been through pulmonary rehabilitation, you may also want to know what exercises and how much you should and should not do. You may even have an injury and are not sure if exercise would help or hurt. The Johnson Memorial Medical Center Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department is offering a Complimentary Physical Therapy Consultation at the Enfield Senior Center on Tuesday, August 7, from 9 a.m. to noon. Schedule your complimentary private consultation with a Physical Therapist and ask any questions you have.

Dance in the air-conditioned comfort of the Enfield Senior Center on Friday, July 27, at 2 p.m., at the Afternoon Ballroom Dance. Dance to the sounds of Ritchie Mitnick and enjoy a snack at the break for $3 per person at the door.

Due to numerous requests, we’ve planned a wonderful day at the New York Botanical Garden, on September 4, to view a special exhibit “Monet’s Garden”. The Botanical Garden is a National Historic Landmark and is celebrating its 120th anniversary with a special exhibit celebrating impressionist painter, Claude Monet. This stunning tribute showcases a seasonally changing interpretation of the garden that inspired his art. In addition, two rarely seen paintings by the artist, one of which has never been shown in the United States, will be on exhibition. Cost is $80 per person. Reservations are being taken at the Senior Center front desk.
