Get Out! Junk in the Trunk Tag Sale, the Big E and a Walk to End Alzheimer's

All of this can be found in or around Enfield this weekend, September 30-October 2

It's finally that time of week again, and we've compiled a list of great opportunities for you to get out with your friends and family.

Where/When: Enfield Senior Center, 299 Elm St; September 30 at 6 p.m.

About: Come listen to the golden hits of the 50's and 60's. Apple pie, coffee and tea will be served at intermission.

Price: Tickets are being sold at the senior center office for $7 per person.


Where/When: 1305 Memorial Avenue, West Springfield, MA; September 30-October 2 from 8 a.m.-10 p.m.

About: Take advantage of your last chance to see this year's Big E. Enjoy food, rides and world-class entertainment. This weekend's attractions will include New England Specialty Food Day, Salute to Navy Day, Maine Day and Special Olympics Day.

Price: Admission $15


Where/When: 1318 Enfield Street; October 1 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.

About: The Woman's Club of Enfield is sponsoring this tag sale where anyone can rent space to sell items or just stop by to check out the available treasures. For more information call 860.745.6290.

Price: $20 for a rental space.


Where/When: 820 Enfield Street; October 1 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

About: Registration for the walk begins at 9 a.m., and the walk begins at 10 a.m. This event will be 1-3 miles and will offer an opportunity to learn about Alzheimer's Disease, advocacy, clinical trial enrollment and more. Start or join a team at alz.org/CT or call 860.272.3900.

Price: Participants are asked to raise funds for their teams to benefit the cause.


Where/When: 24 Sidor Drive; October 1 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

About: Come check out the Enfield edition of the National Solar Tour and the North East Sustainability Energy Association's open house.
