Enfield Youth Center and Renee Curo Begin Next Phase of Youth in Unison

Youth in Unison is a group of inspiring young teens who come together weekly to share in the love of music, through singing, dancing, and creating we work together as friends in a supportive environment.

Board certified music therapist Renee Coro together with Jean Haughey Youth Center director, established this program early summer of 2013. We originally came together as a small group and have grown into almost 10 members now.

In December, the teens had the opportunity to go into a professional recording studio and star as backup vocalist's for Renee's original children's album which will be released very soon! We welcome new members between the ages of 10-16 who have a love for music and sharing it with others.

"I am so very honored to work with these talented young teens who share my passion for music. Music has always played an important role in my life, especially as a young teen. I see myself in them. If I can give them an opportunity to share their voice, dance their dance and believe in their creativity then I have done my job."

Participants comments include, “It’s a fun group, we get to dance , sing, perform and write our own original songs.” Another says it best, “Everyone can express themselves through music.”
