Letter: Mayor or Salesman?

To the editor:

Why is my mailbox getting filled with unwanted water line insurance when I took all the time and effort to stop getting garbage in my mailbox. On official town letterhead no less.

Is this what our tax money is going towards? Now this company will sell my information to others and I will be fighting off junk mail again.

Thanks Mayor Kaupin, and it sounds like it's going to keep coming. What exactly are the details of this "partnership"? Dig into that story Patch.

And to find out the warranty terms and conditions, you must enroll first. Did they learn this from Congress?

This is not town business. 1. they don't list all companies offering the service giving everyone a fair chance they simply endorse one. 2 they basically low ball the company that has been offering the service for a decade in this area. That would be like them sending out a letter that says they only endorse eating at LongHorns if you are an Enfield resident/ insinuating no other resturaunt should get the business. Will they endorse only one car dealership or one oil company or one lawyer or one wrecker service next? I can' only imagine what their incentive is and I am sure there is one. . Almost sounds like "Christie "politics so will they close the Suffield bridge and make us go to Windsor Locks to cross the river if we don't take their endorsement.
