Enfield, Conn. – March, 2014 – On Saturday, March 22nd, Enfield Energy Alliance in conjunction with program administrators from Energize Connecticut and certified Home Energy Solutions contractors Lantern Energy (www.lanternenergy.com) and Victory Energy Solutions (victoryenergysolutions.com) will present two Energy Awareness Workshops. The workshops is designed for residents and town leaders to learn more about how they can take advantage of energy-saving programs and initiatives that will reduce their utility bills.

The events are free of charge and open to the public.   The first workshop will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Somers Library, located at 2 Vision Blvd in Somers.   The second workshop will be held at The Enfield Central Library, 104 Middle Rd in Enfield.  Space is limited, so arrive early.

The seminar will provide information for residents regarding a Home Energy Solutions (HES) assessment and available rebates for additional energy efficiency rebates. HES is a ratepayer-funded service run through the Energize CT program. The assessment provides residents with CL&P-authorized technicians who install energy efficient products and perform weatherization services in homes and apartments. The cost for a HES assessment is $75-99, depending on which fuel source is used to heat the home.
