One Injured In Single-Car Accident In Enfield

A car struck a tree on North Street Friday morning.

One person was transported to an area hospital after the car they were driving left the roadway and struck a tree Friday morning.

The accident took place around 8:30 a.m. on North Street, just west of the Taylor Road intersection, according to Mark Zarcaro, public information officer for the Fire Departments of Enfield.

The driver had to be extricated from the vehicle. Firefighters from the Hazardville and Shaker Pines Fire Departments responded to the call, Zarcaro said.

The driver's name has not yet been released, nor has the extent of their injuries, Police Chief Carl Sferrazza said. Police are still investigating the accident.
